This carrier can be used either front or back depending on what the parent or person using the baby wants. You will love the fact that the carrier is lightweight and can be washed in cold water when you have an untimely accident. The baby sling carrier holds up to 24lbs in any baby’s weight. For smaller babies I would make sure that you use this on the front only until the child gets older and you feel sure that they can be placed on the back. The pattern on the model I got was flowers with a dark blue background.
